At the end of the send-off, they touch! After the Olympic athletes, it's time for the Paralympics to shine in the Grand Palais. From September 3 to 7, 2024, watch the wheelchair fencing events. The key to these tournaments is for the athletes to win medals... So, who will walk away with the precious prize of these 2024 Paralympic Games?

The flame is lit, the flags are raised, and these Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games have finally begun! After a long wait, athletes and spectators are finally meeting at the Paralympic venues in Paris, for two intense and emotionally-charged weeks!

Thefencing and wheelchair fencing events will be held in Paris, under the newly renovated glass roof of the Grand Palais. It is in this majestic setting that the many athletes will compete during this major sporting event. Epee, sabre and foil will clash and resonate between the walls of the monument until the final bouts and victory.

The final matches take place in the evening, from 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm in most cases. To follow these fights live on TV, find out which channels are broadcasting the Olympic Games in France.

Historically, the French have shone on the fencing circuit during the Olympic Games: the tricolore Olympic team racked up more than 120 medals, including 44 golds, and took second place on the podium, just behind Italy. Our Paralympic fencers took home 144 medals in wheelchair fencing, including 62 gold!

During the first part of these 2024 Games, the French won some lovely medals and were even able to make the Marseillaise resound in the Grand Palais. We hope that the Paralympic fencers will bring us just as much pleasure and emotion during these upcoming events.

It's a fine team that we hope will be crowned with laurels this summer in Paris! But watch out, because Les Bleus' opponents are just as formidable...
