Paris may have said goodbye to the Olympic Games on Sunday evening, but the party goes on! The closing ceremony at the Stade de France marked the end of two incredible weeks, but there's no question of bringing down the curtain on the festivities. The City of Light is keeping up the pace with a summer program that will extend this fervor right up to the arrival of the Paralympic Games on August 28, 2024.
The festivities zones set up in each arrondissement will remain open, with a new series of events ranging from open-air cinema sessions to electric evenings under the stars. Such is the case of the Terrasse des Jeux, located on the Parvis de l'Hôtel de Ville, accessible during the inter-Games period from August 13 to 28 (with the exception of August 12, 19 and 26), then until September 8. In all, more than 200 events are planned in the fan zones and areas designated "Club 2024", so you can continue to enjoy the Parisian summer!
The Parc des Champions, which was the podium trodden by the medal-winning athletes at the Trocadéro, is drawing to a close, but don't panic: Club France will be taking over for the Paralympics after a well-deserved break. Located in the heart of the Parc des Nations, it will be back in action with the Maison des Pays-Bas, from August 29.
Iconic Olympic event venues such as the Eiffel Tower Stadium, the Grand Palais and Les Invalides will once again be ready to host the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
In the meantime, why not take a trip to the megastore on the Champs-Élysées? It's the perfect place to prolong the magic of the Games, and buy the perfect fan's starter-pack, before the festivities resume on August 28! That's when the Olympic cauldron lights up once again.
