Drum roll! After working in the kitchens of Le Meurice, Le Grand Restaurant and Café Pouchkine, pastry chef Nina Métayer is (finally!) opening her first patisserie in Paris! But be warned: this boutique, which opens on December 15, is entirely online !
Named Délicatisserie, the patisserie has been designed in line with the chef's values: sustainable development, good for the environment, and controlled production.
Délicatisserie offers only made-to-order pastries, and relies on zero waste, plastic-free packaging, and total use of natural ingredients - fruit peelings and pits, for example, are transformed into syrups, toppings or coulis.
The process couldn't be simpler: you pre-order on the Délicatisserie website, the patisserie's teams create your sweet in the Parisian laboratories located in Issy les Moulineaux, then you choose to collect your pastry from a collection point or opt for delivery - both options being available only in Paris and certain communes in the inner suburbs, at first.
With the festive season fast approaching andEpiphany 2021 just around the corner, Nina Métayer is offering its "Renaissance" galette des Rois for pre-order today. A rustic, handcrafted galette set against a backdrop of 3D technology to create this beautiful tree of life. Also available for Valentine's Day 2021, the chef's Toi+Moi creation, a crunchy dessert with thyme oil.
