Following on from the competition for the best traditional baguette in Paris, Seine-et-Marne, Yvelines, Val-d'Oise, Seine-Saint-Denis andEssonne, now comes a new competition once again showcasing the expertise of our artisan bakers in the Paris region.
On October 2, the Syndicat des Boulangers-Pâtissiers du Grand Paris organized the 2024 competition for the best organic bread in the Paris region. This year, 47 artisan bakers submitted their organic breads to the Syndicat's headquarters in the capital's 4th arrondissement.
After smelling, touching and tasting numerous organic breads, the jury delivered its verdict on Friday, October 4, 2024. To decide between them, the jury noted several criteria, including the bread's appearance, but also its baking, crumb, smell and taste. The prize for best organic bread 2024 in Île-de-France went to Victoire Dary, head ofVictoire Boulangerie in Paris's 9th arrondissement.
She is followed by Ludovic Lhérault of Maison Lhérault in Antony, Hauts-de-Seine. Arnaud Delmontel, who owns four bakeries in Paris (9th, 17th and 18th), takes third place.
