This summer is a historic one for Paris and the surrounding region. The Olympic Games followed by the Paralympic Games, from August 28 to September 8, are not just to be experienced in sports arenas or in front of screens at home. In fact, theIle-de-France region will be rocking to the rhythm of the Games in dozens of fan zones, the epicentres of the Olympic festivities, accessible free of charge to all Parisians and tourists. Take advantage of live broadcasts on giant screens, as well as a wide variety of sports, concerts and shows.
From Chelles to Torcy, via Nanterre, Étampes, Sceaux, Bandoufle, Vincennes or even Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, la Courneuve and l'Île-Saint-Denis, each fan zone offers a suitable capacity, from 500 to 9,000 people, to share in the highlights of the competitions. These venues will not be limited to broadcasting sporting events. They will be transformed into real meeting points for all, offering a variety of activities, from live music to catering, all in the spirit of conviviality and sharing typical of Olympism.
The fan zone initiative is part of a drive to extend the Olympic experience far beyond the stadiums and gyms, by making this global event a celebration accessible to all. With its 26 competition venues, including 15 Olympic and 11 Paralympic, as well as 25 training sites, theParis Region is the beating heart of the Games.
Parisians and tourists alike are invited to take part in this great celebration, whether at the foot of your building or in a nearby park. The fan zones offer a unique opportunity to experience the excitement of the Games, cheer on the athletes and share emotional moments, all in a festive, family-friendly setting.
