Lunch goes English at Lordy's Paris Club, the Anglo-Saxon restaurant of the Sofitel Paris Baltimore Tour Eiffel hotel!

A little piece of England in Paris: that's the promise of Lordy's Paris Club, the restaurant in theSofitel Paris Baltimore Tour Eiffel hotel, just a stone's throw from the Trocadero. With its English club ambience and (very) meticulous decor by architect Michael Malapert, this elegant address has several areas, a bar that' s open all day long with a big screen to follow the matches, and a restaurant that's cosy during the day and Tamisée (got it?) in the evening.

Along the horseshoe-shaped bar, cocktails come and go, revisited with an Anglo-Saxon twist, like the Spritz, which here becomes the English cottage Spritz (20€). The limited menu features the usual staples, led by Ruben pastrami (20€), lobster roll (32€), Cobb salad (20€) and club sandwich (24€).

On the restaurant side, the menu is more sophisticated, under the guidance of chef Yassine Riahi, 28 years old and having worked in the kitchens of Alain Ducasse and Hélène Darroze. Comfortably curled up on the cognac-striped banquettes, a motif typical of Anglo-Saxon universities, it's time to discover this chic clash of cultures.

Avocado and shrimp with champagne jelly (21€), deliciously presented in an old-fashioned style; seasonal vegetable soup au gratin (19€), comforting and accompanied by a slice of garlic and cheese toast; cheddar croquettes with truffles (23€): the classics are a success, prepared with French products from short circuits in the Paris region.

What follows is just as British, with a lightly fried fish and chips (26€), a tourte with button mushrooms, cheddar and parsley sauce (25€), perfectly mastered and undoubtedly Lordy's strong point, as well as a shoulder of lamb confit (34€) with its typically English mint pearl jus.

If you're in the mood to climb Mont Blanc, then the gargantuan sundae (14€) or the New York cheesecake (14€) are the way to go. Otherwise, the small apple tart with crème crue (14€) or the giant cookie (14€, but not that giant) are just the thing to end this lunch under the gray English sky.

Every first Thursday of the month, the LPC bar at Lordy's organizes a British-style afterwork with prestigious distilleries. On the program: original cocktails, appetizers prepared from the whiskies presented that evening, and a musical atmosphere for a good time with friends.
