Located in Poissy, the Boulevard Beirut restaurant takes our taste buds on a journey to Lebanon. Whether you're from Poissy or just passing through, here's an address ideally nestled between the Collégiale Notre Dameand the old bridge on the banks of the Seine.
As soon as you enter, the smiling welcome puts you in a good mood, and you'll have a great time thanks to the colorful, gourmet dishes on offer. At Boulevard Beirut in Poissy, the menu is a tribute to this culinary tradition. The menu is dominated by mezzes, small dishes that are shared. Among them, hummus and babaghanouj are must-tries. Hummus, the famous creamy chickpea purée, is spiced up with tahini (sesame cream), garlic and lemon juice, while babaghanouj blends the sweetness of grilled eggplant with the same aromatic accents of tahini and lemon.
Meat also plays a central role in Lebanese cuisine, and Boulevard Beirut offers dishes like Shawarma, where minced beef or chicken is marinated in a blend of spices before being grilled. These meats are accompanied by sauces such as sesame cream for beef or garlic cream for chicken, adding an extra layer of flavor.
Another unique aspect of Lebanese cuisine is its love of vegetables and salads. Tabbouleh, for example, is a refreshing salad of finely chopped parsley, mixed with tomatoes, onions and seasoned with lemon juice and olive oil. It's an explosion of freshness on the palate, perfect for balancing the richer flavors of mezzes and meats.
Boulevard Beirut 's menu offers a wide variety of hot and cold mezzes. Each dish is carefully prepared to reflect the rich flavors of Lebanon. Prices are reasonable, with starters ranging from €7.90 to €8.90.
On arrival, olives are offered with Lebanese bread, accompanied by a glass of wine and green tea.
The menu offers a wide range of mixed dishes to enjoy on their own or to share with 2, like the Mezze Gourmand Mix, whichgives you a taste of the diversity of Lebanese cuisine, offering a sample of several hot and cold dishes.
On our side, we chose to try the Mezze Gourmand plate made with hommos, babaghanoug, tabouleh, mosakaa, kibbeh, Sambousek meat, sfiha and Falafel. My sidekick chooses Mashawa Mix for one person, consisting of a chicken skewer, a lamb skewer, a Kafta skewer with Hommos, babaghanoug, tabouleh and hash browns. It's colorful, generous, spicy and well garnished, and the mixtures allow us to taste everything, a real treat.
Finish with desserts such as Baklava accompanied by a cup of tea, and you've got a well-crafted meal. In short, if you're looking for a friendly restaurant with a smiling welcome and generous, flavorful dishes, Boulevard Beirut is the place to stop. Children are also catered for, with a special menu at €12.90 including crispy chicken fillet and hash browns, served with fruit juice.
