Who will rock Hellfest 2025? For the time being, the suspense remains, and all hopes are justified. While we wait to find out the line-up for the next edition, Hellfest shared a post on its social networks, inviting festival-goers to share their desires for the 2025 line-up. So, which bands and artists were most frequently mentioned? Find out what metalheads would like to see next summer in Clisson.

On June 30, Hellfest closed its doors after four wild days featuring sets by Metallica, Megadeth, Mass Hysteria, Avenged Sevenfold, Machine Head, Bruce Dickinson, Saxon, Corey Taylor, Brutus and Suicidal Tendencies. From now on, all eyes will be on the2025 edition from June 19 to 22. An edition for which all 4-day passes have already been sold out, even though no names have yet been announced.

While waiting for the line-up to be revealed, probably this autumn, the Hellfest team has asked its festival-goers for their opinions on the 2025 line-up. In an open Facebook post published on August 2, the festival invited metalheads to share their desires for next year.

Since this post was published, around 1,400 comments have been posted. So, which bands and artists are mentioned the most? Who do festival-goers most want to see at Clisson in 2025?

Four bands and artists stand out from the crowd, starting with Gojira. The French metal band, who caused a sensation at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, is one of the Top 3 most-wanted bands of 2025 at Hellfest.

Absent in 2023 and 2024, Gojira caused a sensation at Clisson in 2019 and again in 2022 with an explosive set that many still remember. In 2024, Gojira played just one date in France, at Ocean Fest in Biarritz last April. For 2025, Gojira have already announced their appearance at several European festivals: Dynamo Metalfest in the Netherlands, Summer Breeze and Reload Festival in Germany, Brutal Assault in the Czech Republic and Bloodstock in the UK. We hope that this list will grow over the coming months, and that we'll be able to see the Duplantier brothers and their acolytes live on Clissonnais soil again next year.

Another band in the Hellfest poll? System of a Down. The band led by Serj Tankian had been programmed by the French metal festival in 2020. But due to Covid, the edition was cancelled, and the band was unfortunately not reprogrammed for the double edition in 2022. Since then, many have been dreaming of seeing System of a Down in Clisson.

We recall that the American band made a comeback in April 2024 at the Sick New World festival in Las Vegas, after an 11-month hiatus. In France, SOAD's last concerts date back to 2017. That year, the band took over the Download Festival Paris, the Main Square Festival in Arras, the Arènes de Nîmes and the Zénith de Nancy.

The German band Rammstein is also mentioned many times by festival-goers in the comments of this Facebook post. The indus metal band's last appearance at Hellfest dates back to 2016. In recent years, Rammstein has preferred to focus on its extensive European tour, which includes stops in Paris in 2019(Paris La Défense Arena) and 2023(Stade de France), as well as Lyon in 2022 and 2024. Unfortunately for Rammstein fans, the band has announced that it will be taking a break and will not be touring in 2025 or 2026.

Another band that Hellfest festival-goers would like to see in 2025, and widely mentioned? Korn, the famous American band led by Jonathan Davis. Korn's last Hellfest appearance? 2022. For the moment, no tour dates have been announced for 2025. However, Korn is scheduled to tour the USA and Australia this autumn. The nu metal band will also be celebrating its 30th anniversary at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on October 30, with a host of prestigious guests including Evanescence, Gojira, Scars On Broadway, Spiritbox and Vended.

In this open post launched by Hellfest at the beginning of August, several other bands are also mentioned several times, such as Ukrainian metalcore band Jinjer, present for the first time at Clisson in 2022, Tool, led by Maynard James Keenan and whose last participation dates back to 2019, the Nordic group Arch Enemy, the American band Falling in Reverse, who have just announced a European tour for this autumn, the Americans of Five Finger Death Punch, present at Clisson in 2022, and Rob Zombie, who is touring the USA this autumn with Alice Cooper, Ministry and Filter.

We're also hoping to welcome other international bands and artists, such as AC/DC, recently programmed in Paris, Rage Against The Machine, Iron Maiden, Parkway Drive, Disturbed, Bon Jovi and British phenomenon Sleep Token.

Some French bands are also regularly mentioned, such as Black Bomb A and French heavy metal parody band Ultra Vomit, who are due to release a new opus at the end of September.

Last but not least, some people would also like to see the Swedes of Amon Amath, already present at Hellfest in 2023, the Scandinavians of Opeth, the excellent band Bloodywood, discovered at Clisson in 2023, the Americans of Limp Bizkit and Deftones or Marilyn Manson. The American artist has also announced a European tour for next February. Surprisingly, no dates have yet been set in France. So, can festival-goers expect to see him at Hellfest next summer? The answer will be announced shortly, when the festival unveils its long-awaited line-up for 2025.
