Having recently inaugurated the Broadway Caffe, the Dorr Group continues to open new restaurants in Paris. The latest (and seventh) addition to Garry Dorr's group, The Village Terrazza trattoria, is back in the 14th arrondissement, between Plaisance and Alésia. This restaurant replaces the Auberge du Moulin Vert, which previously served oysters and seafood.
Spacious, the spot boasts no fewer than 200 seats, including 100 on the terrace. Although a few places are available in front of the restaurant, on the sidewalk, most of the outside seats are actually on the inside terrace. A terrace hidden from the surrounding street by an open glass roof and numerous plants. The decor is both original and trendy, with an emphasis on plants. From the large olive tree at the entrance to the tree in the middle of the restaurant, it's all about going green.
Interior designer Pierre Canot drew his inspiration for The Village Terrazza from New York's Greenwich Village district and street art. The trattoria features an aviary for eating and drinking, as well as torch-burned tables, rusted wire mesh and swings. On the walls and furniture, street-art is everywhere, even in the toilets. It's also because of this rich and original decor that we love to eat at The Village Terrazza.
The Village Terrazza is the 14th arrondissement's Italian restaurant that will wake up your taste buds... The Village Terrazza's menu features Italian cuisine, with affordable Neapolitan pizzas at the top of the list. As at Broadway Caffe, the takeaway margherita costs 5 euros. Pizzas made with well-sourced, made-in-Italy products. Tasty pizzas, baked in a US-style oven, and generous in size. While Neapolitan certification stipulates that the item must weigh between 220 and 320 grams, here they are 320 grams and therefore copious.
Also on the menu: fresh pasta made by hand every day, Italian charcuterie and cheeses, also transalpine. All at very reasonable prices.
The Village Terrazza offers a CBD supplement with all its dishes. The magic ingredient is not integrated into a recipe, but sold as a supplement. So everyone can buy their own pouch and enhance their dish as they wish. If you're a truffle fan, you're in for a treat! Between pizza, focaccia to share and truffle pasta, you're in for a treat.
Note that the dishes are very hearty indeed. The pizzas are generous and the pastas are served in large pans, so you won't leave hungry!
Of course, this doesn't mean we can't have dessert, because we're obviously greedy! In addition to the regressive cotton candy, The Village Terrazza also offers churros, sliced pineapple and a generous Tiramisu.
The restaurant is open non-stop, from 11:30 a.m. to the evening. And every day, from 3pm to 7pm, The Village Terrazza goes into happy hours mode with, among other things, beer, Spritz and mojito. Finally, on weekends, it's brunch time at The Village Terrazza. The cocktails, also inexpensive, are very pleasant.
Whether you're looking for pizza, pasta or an aperitif to share, The Village Terrazza is the place to be!
