Good wine, good food and good company - that's the life of Eunoé, a friendly neighborhood nugget in Paris's 11th arrondissement. In this cheerful spot, you'll quickly be swept away by the enthusiastic welcome of Felix, the owner, and his smiling team.
When you open the doors of this cheerful restaurant, you'll discover a trendy setting that's both sober and warm, with a range of brown tones that seem to pay homage to the earth and nature, and a clever layout that allows Eunoé to seat 40 diners. Here, everything tells a story, and there's no shortage of surprising anecdotes! For example, the beautiful wood-covered tables are made from century-old wooden planks from old railway carriages.
And what about the cuisine? Here, you'll enjoy bistronomic dishes with a Japanese accent, created by chef Ryuji Sato. Sato previously worked at two Michelin-starred restaurants: Nomicos and Violon d'Ingres. Today, it's at Eunoé that he shares his creativity through dishes that are as beautiful to admire as they are tasty to eat.
The menu is designed to evolve day by day, and respects product seasonality to the extreme. The restaurant works directly with some forty small producers, and there's no doubting the richness of the flavors of the various ingredients. Add to this the inventive twist provided by chef Ryuji Sato and surprisingly affordable prices, and you've got the secret recipe that makes this spot a real favorite!
For lunch, astarter + main course or main course + dessert costs €21, while the full menu costs €26. In the evening, prices are higher, in line with the even more elaborate and technical cuisine, including dishes prepared with Japanese barbecues.
During our visit, we were able to savor thelunchtime offering. Today's menu featured a starter of round eggplant with burnt mackerel, piperade and burnt eggplant condiments and flaked almonds. A delicious and delightful plate, whose beautiful presentation matched the promise of taste. The eggplant, bursting with sunshine, had that melt-in-the-mouth texture and sweet notes we love. The sweetness of the eggplant set off the mackerel to perfection, creating a beautiful harmony of flavors.
For the main course, we wanted to keep our sea legs, and it was the sea bream with its pea hummus and passion fruit vinaigrette that seduced us. The fish was cooked to perfection, its melting flesh yielding easily to the pressure of our fork. The star of the meal, however, was the famous caramelized vinaigrette, which added a regressive touch, combining the sweetness of the pea hummus with the iodized accents of the sea bream.
For dessert, we end on a light note with a spicy melon soup topped with a lightly sweetened homemade chantilly and a fine tuile of crunchy meringue, and white peach accompanied by a creamy goat's cheese and peach vinaigrette. Two creations that respect the natural flavors of the fruit, and which have the merit of being suitable even for those who don't have a particularly sweet tooth. All in all, the balance of the dishes meant that we left the table perfectly replete, and with excellent value for money. Now we're ready to conquer Paris again!
