The Mieux restaurant team unveils its little brother, Super Huit. The new season is proving to be one of the tastiest on the Parc Monceau.

Just a stone's throw from Parc Monceau, in the chic Miromesnil district, the Mieux team inaugurates a new bistro: Super Huit. Open for lunch and dinner from Monday to Friday, this is one of the highlights of the new season in Paris, putting our feet up and our taste buds into high gear.

For this new address, just a stone's throw from the first, the Mieux team has opted for a décor straight out of the 70s, with furniture and knick-knacks found here and there - including a magnificent wavy mirror. With plenty of natural light and a large terrace to take advantage of the last warmth of the season, Super Huit is already shaping up to be a must-visit address in the neighborhood.

Founders Arthur Varlet and Thomas Bonnel have put a man they trust behind the stoves, chef Giulian Maiuri. Accompanied by a selection of cocktails, as well as our own wines carefully chosen by head sommelier Jean-Baptiste Bayle, the menu is based on hearty bistronomic dishes, which change every month.

When we visited on a hot late-summer day, it was cooler than usual, and we didn't mind: white tuna confit topped with heirloom tomatoes, Cerignola olives and saline salicorne (13€); meaty mussels in a tomato sauce with 'nduja and tarragon (13€); a beautiful monkfish from Brittany, pearly to perfection, with a choice assortment (pommes de terre grenaille, confit peppers, guindillas, smoked paprika and aïoli; 31€) or a large panisse crousti-fondant with artichoke peppers, friggitelli, mint mayonnaise and parmesan (25€).

It's well-balanced, carefully presented and generously served. The same goes for dessert, with honeyed Roussillon apricots - we're enjoying the last of the season - with apricot sorbet, pistachio financiers and a quenelle of crème crue (11€). And in the glass, a homemade lemonade (6€) is a lifesaver. A successful birth (dads are doing well).
